Frequently Asked Questions

How do I order?

You may call, email or text me with your cake ideas, questions and orders. Don't be shy I don't bite! To avoid disappointment please order a month or two prior to your Sydney event depending on the size of the cake and time of the year. Last minute orders are welcome but difficult these days! I am happy to assist with emergencies as long as I'm not fully booked. Let's have a chat!

Here is a quick cake order list for you not to forget anything:

Occasion of the event and your ideas or concept for the cake/sweets.

Date, time and location of your event.

Time and location of the cake pick up or delivery.

Size or amount of people to serve and allergies/intolerences.

Your contact details.

What about payment methods and deposit?

A deposit of 50% is required as confirmation after receiving your invoice and the remaining balance is to be paid one week before picking up your order. Cake orders placed with less than two weeks notice require full payment after invoice is received. Deposits are non-refundable but if for any reason you need to cancel your order a partial refund can be organised. If you would simply like to move your pick up or delivery date/time this can discussed.

How does pick up or delivery work?

Cakes can be picked up in Miranda at any time or in Maroubra during school days. I am pretty flexible with delivery depending on travel kilometres and day/time of the week at an extra cost. Happy to discuss your needs! Please keep in mind that once the cake is in your hands it is your responsibility to keep it intact. Cakes are best placed in the boot of the car, remember to not squeeze the sides of the cake box!

How do I look after my cakes?

Please discuss this with me over the phone. Meringue Buttercream cakes need to be eaten room temperature and kept outside of the fridge in a clean and cool environment. In summer they are best kept in the fridge and taken out 3 hours before the cutting of the cake. If you were to drive with your cake, make sure it is refrigerated before transport. All cakes are edible and delicious for 4 days after cutting the first slice. Can't wait for you to try one :)

P.S. remember to remove un-edible flowers, wires and various decorations before cutting the cake. My 6 layer cakes have a cake board half way which is supported by straws. Those are also not very tasty!

Sweet Flair does not take any responsibility for any customer's allergies and intolerances. Cakes contain gluten, dairy and egg. They may also contain traces of nuts, sesame and soy.
